A Fly on the Wall is a comedic whirlwind that will leave you laughing, gasping, and maybe even questioning your own friendships! Presented by the dynamic Firefly Theatre Collective, this show offers a fresh and innovative theatrical experience, blending quirky humour with sharp storytelling.

Structured as a series of “episodes,” each night features a standalone story that ties into a larger narrative. Audiences can choose to attend just one episode or immerse themselves in the full three-night experience for a more layered, hilarious journey.

Penned entirely by the talented Jackson Rosie, A Fly on the Wall delves into the complexities of human connection—friendship dynamics, awkward family encounters (like sitting across from your girlfriend’s sister who definitely hates you), accidental murders, a very unconventional birthday party, and a surprising number of funerals (though we can’t promise they’ll stay solemn). Each episode unpacks a world of relatable absurdities, creating moments that are both laugh-out-loud funny and unexpectedly heartfelt.

Under the expert direction of Ruzél Stegen, the show features a stellar cast: Ben Sidon, Monique van der Westhuizen, Tiara D'Lima, and Ethan Bremner. Their comedic chemistry and sharp performances bring this collection of comedic brilliance to life.

Whether you’re looking for a one-off night of laughs or a deeper exploration of a hilariously chaotic world, A Fly on the Wall has something for everyone. This is theatre as you’ve never seen it before—bold, funny, and completely unmissable.

Join us and see why Firefly Theatre Collective is quickly becoming a rising star in Dunedin’s theatre scene!
