It’s 2030 and software in your glasses has replaced cell phones. Follow a terrible, awful, no good, very bad day in the life of Jandoe Wilkins, a socially awkward payroll clerk, who discovers more than they bargained for. Yes, today is going to be a real eye-opener for Jandoe, because as you no doubt know, we are all the heroes of our own story.

The comedic duo of Blaise and Sarah Barham from award-winning Otago theatre company Sahara Breeze (SBZ) Productions will be premiering Sarah’s new comedy, All Heroes, exploring what might happen if we could see the world through other people’s eyes.

This funny, poignant and thought-provoking comedy was developed in 2024 through a short workshop season in Auckland and at Otago University with Auckland-based director John Goudge.

Sarah and Blaise formed Sahara BreeZe (SBZ) Productions in 2019 and have subsequently produced 15 shows: most recently, Wonderful by Richard Huber, Out at Sea by Slawomir Mrozek, The Bear and The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov in 2023, and The Tempest by William Shakespeare and Invisible in 2024. SBZ has received multiple nominations and awards, most recently an ‘Outstanding Contribution to Dunedin Theatre’ award in 2024.
