Resilience - A Lockdown Theatre Response - The Film

Theatre

A story of lockdown Resilience, shown through one family's living room.

Resilience - A Lockdown Theatre Response was a 20-minute site-specific theatre piece created for the Dunedin Fringe 2021. A cast of 5 actors portrayed a Dunedin family during the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown, exploring the experience of these unprecedented events through the everyday routine of a family's living room. The audience stood on the street, watching the play through a shop window. Resilience received 5 ‘Best of Fringe’ nominations and extremely positive audience feedback

With the support of the Ministry for Culture & Heritage, this mesmerising piece has now been adapted for film to further share this story of everyday resilience. With a beautifully crafted soundscape and dynamic lighting design, Resilience - A Lockdown Theatre Response - The Film is a collaboration of love between many Dunedin theatre artists. We are all so thrilled to be able to bring this touching story to our community once more.

The film will be screened at half hour intervals during each session.
