Part exhibition, part laboratory, come explore our wonderful creatures and make them yours!

You are invited to our one-of-a-kind emporium, presenting a wide range of pets - many yet to be officially classified. Part exhibition, part laboratory, come explore our wonderful creatures and make them yours!

The Em-paw-rium will be a fantastical and immersive celebration of pets, wellbeing and the power of imagination. The Em-paw-rium experience will transport visitors into a world where their favourite animals are brought to life in hybrid forms, symbolising the transformative emotional connections we share with our pets.

By blending creative imagination with the therapeutic benefits of animal companionship, the exhibition will foster a deeper appreciation for the roles pets play in our lives, all while offering a space for wonder, healing and joy.

The Em-paw-rium is presented by Artsenta, a creative community for tangata whaiora - people seeking wellbeing - that has been operating in Dunedin for 39 years. Artsenta was founded on the belief that creativity and artistic expression should be accessible to everyone and are an essential part of our mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing.
