Rebirth at its finest

Presented by: Ana Teofilo

From: Ōtepoti | Dunedin

Toe Fanauina, meaning 'Rebirth' in Samoan, is about Ana Teofilo's journey into receiving her Samoan traditional tatau (tattoo) called 'the Malu'. 'Malu' means to be protected and sheltered.

Toe Fanauina is a collaboration with the Island Fresh store in South Dunedin, where she'll exhibit some fresh works in black and yellow through carvings on wood.

Island Fresh is open Tuesday - Saturdays, 11am - 4pm. Come by, check out the show, and support a local Pacific business.
